I find indescribable joy in helping individuals to find hope and to thrive regardless of what challenges they are facing. Many clients find it helpful to know that I am also familiar with grief and the journey of finding hope after profound loss. 

One night, several weeks after the heart-wrenching stillbirth of our son in Ireland, we shared dinner with a friend who asked me, "After all you've been through, how has the loss of your son impacted you?" (We are from different cultural and faith backgrounds).

Instantly, a picture resembling the cover page came to mind ... a decimated landscape with variations of gray, charcoal, and dust. I shared, "Honestly, right now I hurt so badly that I can't see straight. However, I am comforted in believing that there is a God who stands over me, as a doorway to hope, where I am safe to question, grieve, and to find comfort." I am grateful for indescribable healing over the years; hope is real.

While my worldview, formed in the Christian faith through personal and ministry experiences, informs how I counsel clients, I have lived overseas and tremendously enjoy connecting with people from diverse cultural and faith backgrounds.
